New Delhi, 20 June. A well-known social organization, Sampurna, in collaboration with Bharat Vikas Parishad, organized a camp at Maharana Pratap Community Center, Sector-9, Rohini, to check anemia among girls in order to make the capital Delhi anemia-free. In this camp adolescent girls got their blood tested for anemia from 10 am - 01 pm. More than 100 girls were benefited in this camp.

The chief guest on this occasion was Vijender Gupta, former president of Delhi BJP and popular MLA from Rohini. He said that there is an urgent need to launch a massive campaign against anemia by Delhi Govt. The most effective way to eliminate anemia in the body is to eat iron-rich food. He said that the age of 13-18 years is adolescence. This age is very sensitive. Because at this age changes take place in the physical and mental status of an individual. In such a situation, many types of problems and complications also come before the adolescent girls. A balanced diet is especially necessary to fight them all. The state of stress in puberty, due to which adolescents and adolescent girls get angry quickly. For this also proper food and healthy environment is important.

Neetu and Sanjay Miglani from Bharat Vikas Parishad said that their organization provide such services through installing the camps time to time. Medicines were distributed by the doctors to the girls who were found suffering from anemia in the camp and they were also told about how to beat anemia through food. Jaggery-gram and other supplements were also given to the girls.

Acting President of Sampurna Smt. Asha Jain thanked all the office bearers of the Bharat Vikas Parishad and the team of doctors for their cooperation in the noble work of the camp and praised them very much. She also thanked Shri Vijender Gupta for his august presence and impactful speech.
