A Confluence of Culture, Poetry and Environmental Consciousness

Sampurna, under the leadership of Dr. Shobha Vijender, organized a unique and culturally enriching programme titled "Self-Composed Poetry Recitation on the Occasion of Holi Mangal Milan." The event beautifully blended the festive spirit of Holi with literary expression and social awareness, creating a vibrant and meaningful experience for all participants. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from members of the public, literary enthusiasts, and social workers, who presented original poetic compositions reflecting diverse themes such as the joy and colors of Holi, love and harmony, nature, women empowerment, and philosophical reflections on life. The depth of expression and artistic presentation captivated the audience, with each recitation receiving warm appreciation. In the poetry competition, Dr. Anju Goyal was awarded the First Prize, Smt. Santosh secured the Second Prize, and Shri Ram Nayyar Ji received the Third Prize. A significant highlight of the programme was the awareness session conducted under the "Jal Mitra" campaign, emphasizing the importance of water conservation. Speakers underlined the collective responsibility of saving every drop of water and encouraged environmentally conscious celebration of festivals. The importance of using natural and organic gulal was also highlighted, and attendees were administered the "Jal Mitra" pledge. An attractive exhibition of products crafted from sacred garments of the deity was also showcased by Sampurna, reflecting the organization's commitment to preserving cultural traditions while promoting sustainable practices.
